Default Lexus rx300 transmission

Hello,

I have the transmission of my lexus RX300, 1999 broken. It is AWD. the mechanic told me that my low gear part is good. So, Do I need to buy all the AWD transmission, or just buy the FWD and use my old low gear? I mean does the FWD fit?

Welcome to Club Lexus!

I'm not sure what you mean by "low gear part". Could you elaborate?

You will need an AWD transmission if your RX is AWD.

Welcome to the Club.

There are individual parts inside the transmission that can be purchased separately, unless the whole transmission has been ripped to shreds.
