Default Brake pad compatibility?

Hey all,

Was curious - to replace brake pads on the RX, are there any compatible pads that I can use from any other type of Toyota vehicle? IE: perhaps a certain Toyota SUV brake pads are identical to the RX?

This is for a stock replacement.

thanks,
Jonathan

Get the brake pad part numbers from: http://www.irontoad.com

There are different pads for diferent year RX 300s. I know the 2002 front pads are different and more expensive than the 2001.

Call your local Toyota dealer(s) and see if they carry that part number. They should be able to cross reference that brake pad with whatever Toyota model it can be used on.

Toyota Mexico down here swears they could replace the pads on my RX with Camry's, but I was not interested. Highlander might be a possibility. I went with Hawk Performance pads for my front wheels (they do not make them yet for the rear), and they have save me many times driving down here. I have also tried Carbotech's, but did not like them as they had to much squealing not very effective in wet weather.
