Well, i went to the tire place and they said i should replace at least the fronts. They didnt have the same tires as stock, so i just went ahead and got a set of four Bridgestone Dueler A/T D693's. THey are really aggressive looking and truckish. I decided to try the white lettering on the outside. They look kinda funny right now because they are partially blue ont he letters, and all the molding crap is there. OF course they also aligned and checked the camber. The car rides a lot smoother, but the tires kind of hum at about 35 mph due to the aggressive thick tread. PICS soon.

Tires look good, I like the larger (more square) sidewall than the GY's. Did you not want to mess with 235's?

Mmmmm...New tires. Very nice, Vapor. Drive them a while and post up how their working. I think I have to go get another of these Notegrity's checked. Losing air each week.

Only 12K and I'm tired of stopping at tire shops and fixing them. Never had this problem before of picking up so many nails in tires. Those OWLs are sharp and would look particularly good with my black RX, but it's one more thing to take care of.

 

Hey that looks pretty sharp! I started a thread a week or two ago asking if anybody had the white lettering showing. I wanted to see what it would look like. And it looks great on your vehicle. If you get some time, post them up in the gallery... I'd like to see some pics of the entire vehicle with the white lettering.

TO tell you honestly, 3/4 of the RX300 owners have got rid of the Bridgstone DEueler due to small life span, flimsyness, and losing air pressure often. Most of opted for the luxuary all season Michelin or Goodyear Integrity. I had Bridgstone, and they had some grip on them, but heck, they were terrible and Goodyear were stronger and smoother. I personally do not think the RX300 looks good with those letterings on the tire, there are same tires like in the pictures but with blacked out letterings. There is no need to show the name of tires in white and showy. No offense,

Rexus300... short life span of Duelers? I haven't experienced that... almost 40k on mine and still going strong even despite my spirited driving practices. I drive my RX like a sports car. Granted, they aren't the same model of Duelers, but if anything I think the ones shown here will have a longer life due to a deeper tread depth.

I'll agree that I'm not a fan of white lettering - it looks ok on Ford and Chevy SUV's, but I don't even really dig that too much. Either way though, new shoes for your ride is always nice, so ENJOY!

Yeah, its weird that the bridgstones wear out pretty early, because I also have a 2000 Infiniti QX4 with Bridgstone duelers also, and they were worn out by 15,000 miles! My RX300 tires were flimsy and didn;t do good in the snow and they have worn out by 40,000 miles. I even put air with the correct pressure to both cars at certain intervals and not neglecting those tires, but they were bad in the winter and they didn't keep the both the Infiniti and Lexus strait when driving. I changed the Infiniti to the Michelin tires and its fantastic, and I have done allready 41,000 miles since 15,000 without seeing much wear. I change the RX300 tires to Goodyear and its handling well. You are right, it could be the type of tires or model that both SUV were fitted with.
