Volume up (8 number out of 10)and sound get distorted
When I tried to put volume up and the sound get distorted. But if I reset the stereo with lower volume it became normal sound. I replaced my old speakers (all doors) with Infiniti for this few months ago and still have this problem. Does anyone have this problems and solved? Does it for subwoofer? I will disconnect the subwoofer under the passenger seat and try to use high volume for a test. If the results are positive I will replace the oem subwoofer with " Infinity BassLink 10" Class D Powered Subwoofer System "and add LOC PAC SOEM-4. Please share your opinions if you did in the past.

Where your factory radio distorts is not something that has an "easy fix". All radios at some point distort sound. Doesnt matter what speakers you replace you will still get distortion at said level. Once you start to hear distortion turn it down one notch and that is you max undistorted volume. The simplest fix would be to add some type of sound processor that integrates well with OEM. It will take your undistorted level (at max undistorted volume) from your radio and give you the ability to boost volume (distortion free) from the processor. You should also see a dramatic increase in sound quality as well.

I guess it depends somewhat on the kind of music you play. Rap at 80% is going to distort any OEM sound system - probably a combination of amp overloading ans speakers distorting. Sounds like you may need a more powerful amp, speakers and sub. Keep the head unit and CD changer though.

Thanks RX driver11 and Keith. When I hear the distortion volume it continues if I lower volume one **** or all the way down but volume distortion doesnot change. If I turn off the radio and back on it becomes normal. I listen light music and some times rap with IPhone or IPod touch.

Hmmm thats a little different than what I originally read. Try setting the EQ on your Iphone/touch to flat or off and see if that improves it. If that doesnt work check the connection for the i device itself.
