Default Shock Bling!

Finally decided to break down and buy some of these Sensen shocks for $170 shipped from APXAutoparts (shipping took 2 days!). Stocks have 195k on them so figured its due time. Will give some feed back after i install them.... Probably start on it this weekend, hopefully upper mounts and everything look good as ive always reused them no issues on previous toyotas...

the front mounts are notorious for causing that rattle noise...you might want to replace the fronts..

The fronts are quiet as can be now... the rears seem to make a little noise over really rough roads. I will examine everything and see. The mounts seem to be the same setup as any of my previous toyotas....not much to really "go bad" per say.

Yes, I've thought about getting those. I've heard the same recommendations about replacing the mounts.

Put them on last night. Took me about 3hrs by myself. Went pretty well. Reused all the original mounts as there was no unusual clunking or anything before (the mounts cost as much as the shocks on ebay and from the local parts stores like $80 each lol) Made a huge difference in handling. Feels so much better in corners and much more stable. Doesnt feel as squishy or floaty but overall a big improvement. Very happy i finally did them.
