Default Rear disc pads to thick.

Got pads at Kragen, fronts went in no problem. Rears are so thick (wear material, they will not fit over the rotors (the gap is not wide enough). The pistons are all the way in. The side opposite the piston is just a fixed (non moving) part of the caliper.
So I go back to Kragen and they have 2 other qualities of pads. There the same thickness.
What am I missing?
I could probably get them to fit if I remove the stainless backing plates, but that doesn't sound like a good idea.

The pads are the same for FWD & AWD, but the rotors are not. Did you replace the rotors?

Yes, you're correct, rotors are not the same, brake pads are the same

No rotors were not replaced. They could of been last brake job. But pads would have been replaced at that time also.
I removed the whole caliper assembly and was able to slide pads out and slide new pads in.
Would not fit over rotor.
Returned pads and order new Lexus pads and will try them next weekend and take pictures if they don't fit.

I would guess that your slides are seized up. Give them a smack with a hammer.

Then remove, clean and re-lube. It is a challenge to keep these pins lubed because (I think) the fit is so tight. I learned that the slide pins needed service well before I needed new pads.
