New to the board... Just bought an RX
Hey Everybody,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the board and just bought a 2001 RX300 about 2 weeks ago. I've been reading through the posts and have already discovered a lot of exciting information about mods, etc. (I'm really looking forward to being able to play PS2 or Xbox on the nav screen during long trips - priceless!) I've been having a bit of an issue with getting a service issue fixed which I talked about in another thread, but other than that, I'm loving it and looking forward to owning other Lexus models in the future. I look forward to offering input where I can and learning as much as possible about my latest purchase. Take Care!

Another Newbie
Gonna 'tag-on' the the end of this thread:
Just got a new 'end-of-model-year' 2002 RX300 AWD for my wife.
What a trade !!!.
Actually, joking aside, it was her decision (I was happy to get a RX300 or ML or X5 or Audi wagon - she loved the driving 'feel' of the Lexus and hated the seats in the others).
I was just happy to get her out of an Explorer....
Wonderful car, great build quality and the controls are intuitively simple.
But I guess Lexi are not meant for DIY maintenance ?? Whats with the wierd oil-filter placement ???
Do Lexus owners do their own maintenance I wonder ?
