Does any member using grom usb adapter ? How is the sound quality? I will try to buy Grom usb adapter during black friday sale with free shipping promotions. If the sound quality is better or same like CD I will keep. You could use following coupons if interested.
Black Friday Deal - $35 OFF GROM-USB. The deal will be valid on November 25th until midnight only. A special code BF35 will be required upon checkout. |
I have one in my LS430 (the USB Grom) and run a thumbdrive with 32 "virtual" CDs of MP3s and it works and sounds great...by far the easiest to hook up - no extra wires, etc, just plug into back of stereo (I believe the RX300 requires it be used in place of the glove box CD changer.)
Thanks for the discount code...I was thinking of getting one for my son to use his iphone. |
Dang! Wish I had that coupon when I bought mine....

I thought about getting one, but it takes the place of the cd changer so it's worth it for me. I still occasionally use the cd player, when I'm doing short trips around town and I don't want to pull my iphone out and hook it up. That might change though, once I hook up the bluetooth.

Good luck.

USB version can you control tracks within the stock head unit?
|
Yes you could do this.
|
gazi001 what model did you get and where did you mount the Grom?
|
I removed the cd player and disconnect the harness connection and connected with Grom usb. You need to remove the entire glovebox to reach and pull out the CD drive. There is two nuts each side (L/R) #12 holds the drive. I keep the grom usb unit in the glovebox and put back the drive same place. This model I bought: http://gromaudio.com/store/usb_adapt...interface.html
