Help on Sensor (or Switch?) ID
Does anyone know what this sensor or switch is? I cannot find it from the parts catalog. There are 2 of them. One each right next to the radiator. One is hidden under the battery.
Looks like battery acid (?) starts to eat the sensor that is located under the battery. I'll need a replacement part.
TIA

Quite expensive try cleaning them. They may fall apart when you go to remove the sensors.

Yellow connectors are usually Airbag Squib Connectors.
Please unhook the battery for several minutes(and then some) as it says in the manual before disconnecting, probing, or tampering.
Last thing anyone wants to do is set off air bags or have a permanent airbag code stored.
Airbag codes on the RX330 are stored in the "Airbag Center Assembly" aka Airbag Ecu, and as far as I know some codes cannot be cleared without sending it off to get reprogrammed.
Not sure how it works on the RX300.

Got it clear. Thanks.

Just to overemphasize, not only disconnect battery WAIT for 10mins or more.
Also: DO NOT USE OHMETER to check connectivity/resistance. These devices send out voltage which may activate the bg.
Last reminder: While working on them, make an assumption that the bag can deploy and stand clear of the way. If you remove the bag then position it such that in case of deployment the whole thing does not fly away ... let the bag open in space/air vs on the ground as it will propel it (if it expands and push itself up if it faces ground).
As far as I know, you will need to reset the ECU [stored error] which may require special reader. [my info is limited]
