Speedometer Stopped

Default Speedometer Stopped
My RX300 2001 just reached 140,00 miles on Saturday. I went about 60 miles since then and the speedometer only advanced 9 miles. Doesn't register any mileage. Can anyone can help me out??

Does the odometer still work? First place i'd look is the VSC (Vehicle Speed Sensor) which is bolted to the trans.

Yes, odometer works. I'll look into VSC also engine light comes on and off all the time. Thought it was the gas cap but now think itis more than that. Thanks for the quick reply.

I would suspect that sensor too, but I would disconnect the battery and reboot once to see if that fixes it.
