DALY CITY, Calif. -- Two SUVs overturned on northbound Interstate Highway
280 late Wednesday morning and one driver appeared to have run away
afterward, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.

The SUVs crashed near San Pedro Road in Daly City at about 11:30 a.m.,
blocking three northbound lanes, a CHP officer said.

All lanes were cleared around 12:50 p.m., CHP spokesman Tony Tam said.

One driver, a man in his late 20s from Hayward, was taken to San Francisco
General Hospital with moderate injures, Tam said.

The officer said there were reports that the other driver had fled the scene
shortly after the accident occurred.

The answer is NO to the title. Under normal driving conditions and even under abrupt saving maneuvers, RX stay the right way up. At excessive speeds (more so if loaded ... higher momentum) a nudge in the wrong spot can send it rolling over.

Any SUV even car can rollover, when you drive like a "goof". I think the RX300 is very solid, I don't think it's more likely to rollover than any other SUV out there.

Nope, my sister can attest to it, evading a runaway truck tire while doing 70 MPH in mom's RX300. She was amazed it didn't flip. Years ago my dealer told me about someone that did roll over an RX300. The person walked away without a scratch. I'm not saying it's impervious to rollovers but less likely than others.

The one rolled in the pucture seems to be a 330 or 350.

That might be a 400h...look at the front bumper vents...

I've taken my RX300 up to extreme speeds in Mexico on highway runs and I haven't seen anything that would make me think it is going to roll over. It is quite lower than a lot of other SUVs its size in terms of keeping a low center of gravity.

I'm with Lexmex on this one, I've gone to extreme speeds as well, although not on Mexico roads, but still some pretty high speeds with some insane curves and it's been quite stable.

Add to it the sloppy steering, that makes the vehicle less twitchy.
