I have used a lot of aftermarket parts and can tell you that factory original will always be the best in quality, fit, and finish. with that being said they will be the most expensive so i have found that you should get the best part for your budget. Dorman will work just fine when its all you can afford.

oem always, money permitting. Aftermarket many times will not align right nor will they last as long.

Second #2 post. Dorman. Otherwise, I buy 2nd from the bottom up in price. Never buy the cheapest one.
Lots of "OEM" parts are nothing else that rebadged aftermarket ones. Simple example. KYB is official Toyota struts supplier. Yet, you buy KYB online for what - around $100 and dealer - $450? Same darn thing?
I do not hesitate to buy AM parts.

I recently bought a complete strut assembly and a control arm on eBay from AM auto parts and the fit was perfect. Strut was $97 FCS brand. Control arm fit a Camry and a 1999 RX300, too. I also once bought a sway bar link for like $12 from Amazon and it was a great fit. However when it comes to oxygen sensors, now I will only buy new Densos.
