Unhappy Kia RX300

I mean really, did Kia buy the rights to reproduce the RX styling? I think kia's new sorento couldn't be more of a ripoff the the RX styling!! It's ridicuolus.

Thats crazy, the side profile especially looks like the RX, and so do the headlights, Lexus should patent its designs, so cheap car companies cant copy the design. Grrrr...

Yeah I didn't think about the grill, it does look like RMM's. Well, I'll think of it this way; by copying design they will be behind one model year every time

The press release states that it will have a ladder frame! Is that what buyers want!?! Especially from a midsize, I would think it would have been unibody, I mean it's not going to tackle the rubicon. Also, it pumps a healthy 192 horsepower out of a 3.5 L V6

Give that same displacement to a japanese automaker (Toyota or Nissan) and you'll be getting close to 300hp

What a loser!

They know our RX is the best-selling and most popular SUV, so they copied the whole design.

But I think it's only cosmetic on the outside. The inside, engine, drive feeling, and everything else is nowhere close to being a RX300...

Default KIA

Advantage................. KIA

Folks, you not paying close enough attention.

The 1992 LS400 was a copy of the MB, did I care? NOT !!

The KIA is RWD, the way any SUV should be. And I'll bet you can put snowchains on ALL FOUR wheels. If it had PSM and HID I would be dumping my AWD (NOT!) RX.

Maybe KIA will set the SUV mark high enough that even Lexus will have to JUMP. I hope.

No, wwest, you're not paying close enough attention.

It's a KIA...A freaking KIA. Pay attention...again, it's a KIA.

KIA: Korean for POS. SUX: Korean for SUV . Paying attention?

Go ahead, please dump your Lexus, join Club KIA.

"The KIA is RWD, the way any SUV should be. " Everyone with 4x4 SUVs should have paid more attention to you.

PSM? HID? They don't offer this. Sheesh, that's why it's a KIA. You can plant roses around a pigpen, it still smells like s**t. Anyway, it's still a feaking KIA.

"Maybe KIA will set the SUV mark high enough that even Lexus will have to JUMP." Riiight, and maybe monkeys will fly out of my butt. Hey, wait...would you dump your Lexus to see that?

RWD isn't a necessity for an SUV. I mean, west, look at the Town & Country you love so much - it's FWD and according to you is just THE BEST!

These SUV's are not for serious offroad use. Who is going shopping saying "yeah I need a good offroader, let's go look at Kia!" They are urban assult vehicles and car makers know that. Unibody, FWD based AWD system for imporoved space efficiency yadda, yadda. I don't see any advantages for the Kia.

Seems to me your ready to dump your RX for anything. If you say you'll dump it for a Kia w/ HID and PSM why don't you get and X5 3.0i or the MB you rave about. Quit yacking and start acting!

Default it's a KIA

Do you realize that not too long ago, the early seventies say, all off that derogatory stuff was being said about Toyota?

Would any of us have believed Airbus would have overtaken Boeing so quickly.

It's now the (free) information age, copies will be the rule of thumb.

Old cliche...

Next guy in the market always has the opportunity to get it better. And often does.

You've all seen fake Rolexes, fake Gucci bags, etc. Physical design has nothing to do with the real thing. Rest assured, I can bet Lexus is not sleeping or resting on its laurels. You're driving the ONE with the L badge so feel good. It's still different no matter what.
