Default Adding a Towing setup to an RX300 AWD

I have a 200 rx 300 awd
it didnt come with a tow setup though It has the tranny cooler though no wiring for the tow kit

where should I go to get the electrical kit and a tow hitch receiver setup installed on my rx 300?

I see them at auto zone for $150 a class 2 ..they look very very ugly though..they stick way far out

any help would be greatly appreciated

Im just looking to be able to tow some small stuff behind my rx every now and then

trying to see what the cost of being able to do that is

i mean i could buy a piece of junk jeep for 2 grand and tow with that

just going over idea's in my head..

Pat

I think that getting the OEM parts on eBay from somebody parting out an RX300 would be the best way to go.

If you search the archives here, you will find numerous threads discussing the hunt for where to connect the electrical leads, what modules are needed, etc.

As I recall, the weight limit w/o the towing package is 1,500 lb., 3,500 lb. w/ towing package and a maximum tongue weight of something like 100-200 lb. If you are going to tow near these weight limits, there are those that would say it isn't worth risking agravating any possible transmission problems.
