Default What's the part # for the RX300 hitch? anyone got photo of original Lexus hitch?

What's the Toyota part number for the Lexus RX300 hitch?
Is this hitch exactly the same as a Highlander hitch?

Does anyone have photos of the original Lexus hitch that came on the RX300?
I just want to see what it looks like compared to the aftermarket one from HiddenHitch or Curt.

I have seen 2 or 3 different aftermarket hitches from DrawTite, Curt, and HiddenHitch. however, they don't have that "factory" look.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

There is the iron part and the electronics part. Depending upon the yr, and model, you need to find out if it has been prewired.

If I find my invoice, I will post the part number.

Thanks!

I just need the hitch only. No need for the electronics/wires.

Lexus after-market hitch was sold to me with electronics [from Lexus dealership]. It was my first DIY post on this forum. The rubber blank for the receiver has 'Lexus' embossed on it (what ever worth that is)

Personally, any piece of iron will do the job, the only issue is how it goes around the exhaust pipe. Depending what you want to tow, the level of the ball may be important too.

i have an after-market tow hitch on my rx300, i think it's by draw-tite? anyways, it was the closest to oem i could find. I took these pics last summer. Someone wanted $250 for a used oem hitch, i got this one NEW for $130ish shipped.

The key was getting the oem cap. $20 bucks. Makes it look oem!

Looks IDENTICAL to my factory hitch (and I mean IDENTICAL). Don't ask how much I paid!

The hitches were installed at the Port of Entry and could well be OEM'd for Lexus (Southeast Toyota?) by Draw-Tite.

The Drawtie hitch I've seen before is slightly differernt...I'd rather have the drawtie (at least the one i've seen before) it had a larger cut-out for the exhast, and I would like to get a dual tip muffler.

This one is on EBAY right now for $179, which would allow for a dual tip muffler

defo, that picture is just a "stock photo" of a hitch, meaning the rx300 hitch doesn't look like that. I went through this when purchasing mine...

actually, the 99-03 RX300 hitch made by Curt Manufacturning
does look like that. It goes under the exhaust tip, instead of
over it.

My factory hitch has the square tubular cross-member like the DrawTite (not the round tubular like that pictured above). And I don't recall if it goes above or below the muffler.

the factory and draw-tite both have square tubing and go above the exhaust pipe. Honestly, the draw-tite looks better to me but that's just my opinion...
