Default Need battery

My 1999 RX300 battery just died. Any recommendations for replacement? Is NTB battaries any good? As well, does it matter which terminal you disconnect or connect first? Thanks.

I hear Costco batteries are very good if you have any nearby.I always preferred interstate batteries. But a good Diehard should be okay as well.Disconnect the neg. terminal first, reverse for instillation.I hope this help`s you out.

thats really strange, like i can understand the seat position, clock, garage door openers, or even radio stations because those are custom settings, the windows and sunroof and windshield wipers and things like that would be "hardwired" functions into the electronics system ya know? i suppose if you were to modify the OEM system then maybe but the OEM system is just like on or off, or in the case of the windows a light tap would yeild a different response, does that make sense?

I've read that too, but I did not need to re-calibrate the windows or the sunroof when I replaced my battery 3 weeks ago.

My observations are that the re-program of pinch protection (sun-roof, windows)came in 2000+ models. '99 does not need reprogramming .. fixed.

Garage is eeprom [you program it electrically and once power is removed, it keeps the information]. {just line odo**

Radio-settings and car-seat settings, and some ecu are the only which are lost when battery is removed.

Clock seems to be instantaneous loss.

Interesting, I have a 2001. Changed battery 3 weeks ago and only lost clock and seat memory.

Not sure exactly when the change happened. I suggest look at the owner's handbook.

My observations are based ob personal experience with '99 and what got posted here in forum.

The only things that needed reprograming were the clock and the radio presets. Everything seems to be working fine. I did notice that Walmart sells two types of batteries that will fit, I picked the larger size battery because it had higher cranking power for the same price.
