Default Replacement keys from toy-lex: experience

Hi All,
I just bought 2003 RX300 (FWD) with 66K from my friend in LV, NV about a month ago for 12.3k and had to remake the keys (those with electronics) with toy-lex.com. The original keys were broken at the jucntion where key shank meets the plastic part.
I have ordered two shells with key cutting service with VIN. Initially, they had a hard time identifying the VIN with key code (understandable, since the vehicle was originally purchased in Guam), but at the end, they were able to. The total price for both (with key cutting and shipping) was $117.00 and I am very happy with their service. Only thing I had to do was to replace the electronic and keys work perfectly. Also, the new keys came back with key number for the future use.
As for the rigidity of the keys, the basic design of the plastic part of the keys were pretty same with original ones (no noticeable reinforcement on the junction) but there seems to alot less flex when the key is inserted and turned to start the car.

Hope this helps.

Chris

With respect to keys, the case for my RX300 keys broke and I have the key code. Contacted http://www.sparecarkeys.com and they were able take the order over the phone, cut the key and mailed it the same day and I got in Canada 2 days later. Ed was the guy I spoke to, very helpful and the cost was $52.50 for cutting the key and mailing it.
Good experience.

I got my replacements at TransponderIsland on eBay. They charge $8.99 for the shell & blade, $5.99 for shipping, and $29.95 for cutting (with either a photo of a master key, VIN, or key code). Very good product, excellent service and fast shipment.
