Default need advice - replacing a shock absorber's rubber dust boot

The driver-side rear shock absorber's rubber dust boot on my wife's 2000 RX300 falled to piece and the shock's metal rod is exposed. I have found the replacement part on the Internet with price range from $58 (KYB brand) to $99 (unkown). Based on the look of it, the rubber dust boot also serves as the mounting cushin for the spring coil. What is the best and easy way to put this boot into place?

Top mount and the boot are one piece. The whole thing has to be removed and springs need to be compressed. I have 130k miles and one boot is torn. I intend to replace it when the shock gives out. Without the boot it will happen quicker.

The only way as earlier mentioned is to dismantle the shocks assembly.

This will give you an idea of from one of my threads, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=327873 (see post 18)

With my rear shocks, they also had their dust boots erode and I cut part of them off leaving some exposure. I have had this for a siginificant period of time and no issues thus far.
