Ignition key will not turn
There are two locks ..
steering ... you may have to wriggle it to relieve pressure on the pin.
Gear shifter. Wiggle that and push hard all the way up in PARK or tension towards the "R".
There is always a possibility that the key cylinder is messed up. Due to wear they prefer the old key.

I'm fairly new to this vehicle but I have had to really pull hard on steering wheel to make key turn on other vehicles. Try pulling steering wheel hard to one side then if it still locked turn the other way just as hard or harder.
I have had to do this on other vehicles but never this one so if you try this and still doesn't work it may be the cylinder. I'm sure others will come by to help you out.
Good luck
If you stopped the truck with the wheels turned then you will need to turn the steering wheel hard in the same direction. I don't know if you turned the wheel into a curb or something that may have created pressure. So turn the wheel the same direction if this is the case then holding pressure on steering wheel try turning key. Don't force that key, it will break.

My '99 RX300 key cylinder was working fine when I parked it for the night a week ago but the key would not turn the ignition cylinder the next morning. It was as if it were welded. Nope, the steering wheel wasn't locked. The ignition cylinder had 'swarmed' and had to be replaced. Get ready to lay down approx. $285.00 smackers.
It is the only vehicle out of 32 vehicles I have owned over the past 55 years that the ignition had ever fouled up. I also had to have the idler valve replaced at the same time. This vehicle is the only one of all the vehicles I have owned that I ever had to replace the airconditoner compressor, expansion valve, and dryer. My wife's 2003 Lexus car had also had air conditioner problems as well. However, I can't complain. It has 132,000 miles on it and other than the airconditioner problem(s), a starter replacement and 'normal' maintenance I would say I haven't spent a lot on repairs.
