01 Fwd RX300 - jus passed 190K
Original engine & tranny

Replaced:
glovebox arm (It's a plastic suction thing)
air mix / mode servo motors
passenger window actuator
broken antennae
hatch fabric panel & taillight bulb
Instrument panel: "D" light / CEL / VSC lights

Everything below was around 180K:
spark plugs (DENZO)
both A/F O2 sensors (DENZO)
both serpentine belts
Timing belt / Cam seals / Tensioner / Bearings / Water pump
bled brake fluid flush
power steering flush
radiator coolant flush
transmission ATF flush (Just added TRANSMATIC @190k)
Synthetic Mobil1 5w-30 oil changes every 3k (Just added AutoRX @190k)
pressure control valve(PCV) EASY and drastic difference in oil consumption

*smelled burning oil that came from leaking valve cover gasket (hopefully AutoRX will handle that)
*when does one replace catalytic converter or know things like exhaust manifold gasket has gone bad?

253 k now not much of an increase since I retired.

Feb 2019

RR Shocks

New Rubber

RR Wheel sensors FL

Replaced airflow controller to vents. Was stuck on your feet setting. Bought part self installed from DIY

Items outstanding

drivers and rear passenger door actuators- no problem really but inconvenient in back

AC is not cool enough now. Very recent it’s like 65% compared to normal. Getting it checked out next week.

Shift bulb or two - no biggie to me.

A few tiny rust spots - will address myself in the fall.

18 years old in August. I hope I can drive it until my death. Being retired you have to be debt free to afford food, energy cost and medical these days.

After brakes & rotors a scrape type noise occurs. Intermediate but more obvious on turns. Will check it out next week with AC.

Brakes, rotors and lines.

Bad knock sensors put the engine in limp mode not allowing it to go above 3rd gear

221K and climbing. 2002 I ourchased as second owner at 130K miles. This is my third RX, had it for about six years now. All major parts are original except the radiator.

Changed:
Alternator at purchase
Timing belt at purchase
O2 sensors here and there
Knock sensors at about 150K
Change tranny filter every 30K
Control bar stabilizer at some point

There is a DIY for that from Salim. Takes 8-10 hours but even a novice like me got it done successfully.

2001, rebuilt transmission 3 years ago. 229K, still ticking along. No other major problems or repairs (knock wood). Needs back door locks repaired.

update 03/14/22:

My beloved 2001 RX , 248k, was totaled by a driver going 47 mph & ran a red light - hitting me broadside. Still recovering - but I "walked" away, so grateful. Bought a 2009 RX, not used to it yet...........miss the '01!

Y2K, OG engine & transmission. 207K+ and I'm getting her back soon - my niece was driving it but went out and bought herself a Corolla. minor niggles here and there such as the servo sounding like a mouse, the door lock actuators being out on the 3 passenger doors, and a dent where I ran into a pole in my garage. but it's been well maintained by me (it was my parents' before it was gifted to me in 2012 and my dad, the cheapskate, was weirdly cheap about the maintenance outside of oil changes - like he refused to spend $ to replace the rear hatch struts). my partner and I have 3 cars besides the RX, so I think I'm going to sell my 2017 RAV4 - it's a great car but we really only need 1 SUV/crossover, and I would prefer to go back to driving "Alex".

It's been over a year since I had my RX300, but it got very close to 200K, just a few thousand miles short at 198K.

Just bought my daily driver, RX300 2003 with 203,000 to start. I've been fixing some smaller cosmetic things, and the door lock actuators all around. Had my mechanic check it out, so I intended to keep it on a good maintenance schedule.

Default 2002 Mileage

Have just gone over 217,000. In shop as we speak to have valve cover gasket replaced, spark plug tube seals replaced along with new set of plugs and PCV valve. Leaking rear differential carrier seals to be replaced as well,
Original engine and transmission.

Ya, I have a 1999 RX300, original engine, and transmission… mostly highway miles on it at 282,000 miles now. I’d love to get a new one but I can’t justify taking on a payment right now when I’m not having many, (if any at all) issues with it.
