Hello out their in the lexus world, My rear washer,(wiper works)pump is not working. Does anyone know if this is a seperate resivoir for the fluid? Although I don`t hear any thing(like pump groaning) or anything.Is it poss. the pump burned out? Where is it located? By the way,my front washer work`s fine. Thanx, Ryan

Same reservoir and same pump.

The tube is longer and there is a possibility of spray hole to be clogged. A sharp pin can clean it out, but can make the nozzle susceptible to further corrosion.

I recommends that the rear washer is used once a month and reservoir flushed out once a year. [Pump put the old and replenish or every 3rd yr take the reservoir our and wash it]

Also use quality fluid.

Salim, are you sure it's the same pump? You can spray the front or rear separately which would tell me that you most likely have two separate pumps or switching valve?

That's an interesting recommendation I haven't heard before. How about somebody doing a photo shoot of how to take it out and reinstall?

Well truely,the only reason I`m concerned about this, is because of winter comming.(salt splashing up on the rear window)and diffacult to keep clean without washer fluid.

I could take some pictures of my reservoir when I get home (I don't remember junking it) as I took it out to give the tranny cooler some more flow. There are just a few wires you have to take off to remove it.

Now, I took some pictures of my recently removed fluid reservoir tonight so I will show them now

Altogether, I counted 3 bolts holding it into place, 2 electrical connector plugs and 2 outlets for the rubber hoses to each wiper.

And of course the reservoir itself is (or was in my case) located in this vicinity on the passenger side front corner behind the bunmper and in front of the passenger side wheel, requiring removal of the front part of the plastic covering of the wheel well. And I have tied up the old wires with plastic ties.

That is my best recollection. 1 reservoir, 1 pump 2 valves (to direct flow) People with workshop manual or who have worked on the pump can confirm or correct me.
