Smile code p0441 p0442 p0446

you were on spot with the disconnected vacuum line, several weeks ago i checked the air filter and must of loosened the line, just connected it and going to take a drive for a beer, hope it's gone while i'm driving, don't want to disconnect the battery now, i am hoping it'll reset itself in 15 mins, should be enough time for me to drink 2 bottles of bass ale thanks much for your knowledge

berto,
Check if the evap hose has come off the vertical tube behind the air filter box. Happened to me last week when I changed the air filter.

I've had the same code P0446 for months now and i just clear it from time to time. I also get a exhaust type carbon smell from the engine bay that comes and goes. Could that be a catalytic converter going bad or clogged? My mechanic says the same thing that its the charcoal canister in relation to the code that pops up.

I would check your flex pipe and manifolds for exhaust leak. The flex pipe would be a more likely suspect since it's more exposed and tends to rot away much faster, and leak exhaust into the engine bay

Do you need to remove the airbox to get to it?

This thread post #3 describes a common source/cause of the problem.

Vacuum diagram sticker is in the engine bay and can be used as the guide for other possible leak locations
