Suspension thoughts.....
I believe my front struts/shocks are bad.....so I am looking around at my options.
I don't want to change the ride height, I like it where it is. But I would like are more responsive suspension.
I have read that the SilverSport has a better (tighter) ride.
Does anyone know if the SilverSport struts will fit a regular RX?
Thanks inadvance, Tony

These are very good struts and reduce some body rolls from stock RX300 SUV! I highly recommend!

KYB GR2 is RX's OEM struts, it is highly likely that KYB sells the same product for OEM and aftermarket markets.
Some report stiffer feel but new strut should have a different feel than a worn out one.
If you want better handling, just increase tire pressure. Many swore that Lexus recommendated PSI is only safe but fail to supply a single proven evident why increasing PSI below Max rating is not safe.
Each tire model is designed differently, how can one assume one PSI to fit all aftermarket tires, all driving style, and all road conditions?

i got the KYB on right now with tein s tech springs riding on 20" .. the ride feel good and smooth... you got yours 5 dollars cheaper then me lol .. i got these about yr ago for 368 shipped...
What I'm trying to get info on, is the SilverSport RX.....Lexus claims it has different tuned struts (more sporty).
So, if KYB is truely the OEM struts, why can't I fine 2 different models? Can anyone confirm/deny this?
Since I have to buy new struts, so I want to see if I have any real options.
Mine are bad need replacement anyway, so the tire pressure deal does not matter. And I agree that new struts will automatically feel better.

It could be dampering rate is different, another member reported KYB GR2 is 40% stiffer, but no one can confirm, the only way is to try it out.
Let us know how it turns out.
BTW, if you have FWD, you can get Teins coilover, they are expensive but I heard the ride worth every penny, lowered look w/o harsher ride. If I have a FWD and blown struts, I will get the Teins. Not saying KYB is not good, just Teins coilover is just a different class.

hmm...I've blown my BFGoodrich's up to 42 and had no problem. I'm still here, right?! It is a completely different ride. Those speed humps I used to fly over--well lets just say I had to creep over them as if I had a 4 inch drop and a body kit.
defo,
I forgot that tires makes a big difference in handling. When I upgrade to Pirelli Scorpion Zero 235/60/18, I can cruise at least 10mph higher on a steep bank.
Wider stance also help handling, I have 25mm H&R wheel adaptor on all four corners. Not only my RX have wider track, my rear wheels are also flush with rear wheel fenders.

A while back, Ederny made a comment on his web site that SilverSport has bigger sway bar, but it turn out SilverSport has the same sway bar part # as the regular RX.
