Default Electrical Problem

While replacing a battery in my RX300, I must have blown some fuses or other devices. All the blade fuses seem to be ok, but the gauges and instrument panel lights don't work; I cannot shift into gear; the tail lights don't work; and the computer panel doesn't work. Are some of the other fuses, such as the cartridge fuses blown? HELP!! thanks

Paul

Paul:

Very unlikely that a fuse would blow so I suggest

It might be worth another look to ensure + and - are connected properly (batteries come in both forms .. Posts can be swapped).

After that look for the heavy fuses ... Look for relay box ... the primary fuse is in there. If you are unable to locate it please post again and I will reply with more precise location.

Highly unlikely, but did you check the voltage on the new battery to make sure it is not dead? Or just reinstall the old battery for a test.
