Uneven Side Mirrors
Just noticed this....
It appears that the side mirrors on my RX300 are swept back at different angles. The driver side mirror is swept back at about 25 degree. The passenger side mirror is swept back further at about 40 degree. I thought that maybe my mirrors were hit or misaligned. I checked them and they appeared to be fine.
Anyone else notice this? I haven't had a chance to look at another RX300.

Uh . . . guys, the right mirror is "swept back" at a greater angle to enable you to see objects behind you. They are angled the same only in one of the rare "both-hand drive" Lexus models in which the steering wheel and controls are located over the transmission hump. I understand this model is available for international travelers who routinely commute between nations having right-hand and left-hand traffic conventions. Hope this helps!
Yes, I understand the passenger-side mirror need to sweep back more for me to see the right hand side. I just thought that the *mirror housing* should be even for appearance sake. I looked down on my RX from a hotel room and realized that they were uneven.
I've never seen any Toyota vehicle with center steering. That'd be interesting to see if you could share some photos. Some people who live near the Hong Kong SAR border routinely switch side, but they don't have center steering. China is left-hand-drive like the U.S., Hong Kong being an old British colony drives on the "wrong" side of the road.
