Where do I buy the Ball tow hitch?
Hi,
I had a tow hitch installed on my 2001 RX300, and the hitch doesn't stick out as far as I though. Any place to buy the metal ball thing?
Thanks,

A U-haul store or if one isn't close, believe it or not. WalMart. My friend took me their once (I don't go to WalMart much), and they carry the wiring plug-in for a variety of cars too.

If you have the hitch already what you are looking for is the tongue and ball that goes on the tongue. You can find them in many places like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts. You'll also need a pin to hold the tongue in place. All in the automotive seciton or an auto parts store.
There are different types of tongues and *****; Reece is a good (and common) brand.

Thanks for the reply. When I head down to Walmart one day, I'll pick one up. As mean as I might be, I got two unnoticable license screw indents already... The ball joint should scare them... heehee

Depending on the impact, the tow hitch assembly may cause more damage to the RX and the occupants. For minor bumps the hitch would protect your bumper, but in case of a more serious collision, the energy will be passed on the occupants and the unibody structure.
Idiots who drive too close, usually would not back-off on seeing a tow hitch.
