Ok shoot me for being an idiot, but my instruction manual is in Japanese and I can't read any of it.

1. WHAT are those two flaps that you guys are laughing about? I saw them too and couldn't figure out for the life of me what they are.....

2. HOW do you remove the seats front or back 6 inches? Coz as they sit right now, the flaps are just dangling loosely in the air and my rear seats are very upright.....are they supposed to be that upright?

The two flaps are attached to the rear cargo cover to take up the slack between the rear seat back and the cargo cover.

There's a bar underneath each rear seats. Pull it up then you can move the seat forward and aft.

You can adjust the seat back angle by pulling on the large plastic tab on the top of the each seat back.

I used to be able to do this with an old old old Audi I had years ago when I was but a teen. Great for "parking with the chicks". I used to be able to park on deserted country lanes, lay both front seats against the back seats and, well...you know. If I saw headlights coming down the road, I could just pull the handle next to the seats and "presto", the seat backs would pop back into position. Try that today with the electric seats we have and you'd need a five minute head start to get it back up. The SEAT, that is.

Nah, the reclining front seats are not comfortable enough for the purpose you have in mind. Nothing beats front bench seat. Very rare nowadays.
