start to finish the job took maybe 30 minutes. Very simple and straight forward.

1. remove the bolt on the lower caliper pin.
2. swing caliper up
3. press piston back in with Quickgrip clamp.
4. insert new pads.
5. swing down caliper and replace bolt.

DONE.

Since i was not taking off the disc and the parking brake was not too bad. I adjusted the cable at the point where it splits. This was basically underneath the driver's seat and it had a lot of room to gain an inch of travle.

Thanks for your help.

The long DIY with steps posted by blk99rx was my writeup. I will be happy to answer question/comments on it.

There is no need to twist the piston back-in. If you have a "C" clamp that works just fine. [I used a blunt screw driver to push out the old pads even before disassambling anything].

The rear brake pads:
This is even easier than the front.
0 ALL disclaimers and setup requirements still apply.
1 loosen, jack-up and remove the rear wheel.
2 push out the pads while monitoring the level in the master cylender (remove as needed).
3 locate the locking pin [middle of the brake caliper]
4 identify (take picture/mental note/sketch) the locking pin set up.
5 release locking pin and pull out the pin.
I reccomend pull one pad out and put in one new pad.
6 See if the second pad needs to be pushed out more to create room for the new pad. Push it out using blunt screwdriver. Take care of the leverage points ... you dont want to scratch or bend or worse break anything.
7 replace the second pad.
8 put the pin through and reassemble the locking mechanism.
9 put the wheel back on.
10 Lower jack and toque the lug nuts to spec.
