Stunning... What's the application? Redline?

Interesting 90deg bed on the collector of that header...

Thank you for the compliment. This was a fun project.

The application was a development project for endurance road racing.
Redline in this iteration is 7500 RPM, and is a product of its air inlet restrictors (38mm x 2).
Without air restrictors, and some modifications to the camshafts / chain guides / tensioners / DI Pumps, it will easily rev to 9200 RPM

The 90deg bend in the secondary exhaust relates to it's routing in the chassis.

Whoa! So you've choked flow at 600hp at around 7,500rpm? In theory that's >700hp at 9200 given similar VE and some added windage losses. What a beauty.

Restrictors for this application are unfortunately defined by FIA regulation, so there is not much freedom in design. If the only constraint were 3mm of the minor diameter, the same power could be achieved with a much smaller restrictor with a proper 270 deg entry and appropriate convergent / divergent angles - such as this 29mm pictured below.

That's beautiful...
Given its BHP/liter/mass, how is stacking up compared to other entries in its class?
Where is it headed i.e. drivetrain and chassis wise?

Thank you.

Unfortunately, these engines will not be raced competitively. It was done purely as a development project. They will likely end up in road cars, special projects etc.

I have a road car (even tracked at CoTA occasionally!), if you need a test bed...

Okay, so was a build from scratch project? Just a guy in his back yard shop or what?
