What is funny is that Top Gear really bashed the F when compared to the M about how it wasn't even close. Same driver but still I would have figured the M would have been faster.

thats awesome! looking through some of the cars it beats is pretty cool, M5, M6, ties the A.M. Vantage! 10 seconds faster than the C63! that stuff is amazing! im guessing this is the 2010 model with the LSD?... wonder if it is, and if so, what the difference would be with an 08-09?

When did they do this? Last I checked, the time was about 8:18. Did they re-test with a 2010 model with LSD? Since when does Horst test for Top Gear?

So not only is the IS-F faster than the M3 in a straight line, it's now also faster around a track "when you add twisties."

I can't wait to hear another beamer-bot amateurishly suggest that the m3 is superior to the IS-F "when you throw in the curves," because we all know we hear this argument applied M3 competitors time and time again.

Guys as much as I would LOVE for this to be true (and will post it ALL OVER the BMW boards) can anybody actually post a link to confirmation of this other than Wiki with a broken link?

I have searched Top Gear and FastestLaps and haven't been able to find anything that confirms that time.

yup, im tired of hearing that as well carLx. both cars are great, but at least now there's proof that says the F can handle curves and twists too. the time still needs to be proven, but it'd be nice to have it officially on record. still shows the great R&D that lexus employed in creating the F.

+1 Hate to say it, but I suspect it's an error. No proof anywhere I can find either. 15 seconds is a huge jump (same driver with the 8:18 lap), even with the added LSD

Hopeful for you guys that I'm wrong and look forward to someone finding a source.

There's no source... so I agree with CDNROCKIES that we shouldn't assume that this time is credible until we get more information.
