My Road Racing Thread
New guy here, but just picked up a 94 NA-T SC300 to be used in the future for HPDE days. It doesn't seem like this section gets much loving, but I'm starting this thread to chronicle my adventures with road racing and this new car. To clarify, I only started road racing this year and still very much a newbie. I'm actually going to race Pocono's Long Track (Infield) this weekend with NASA.
I'm new to the SC world, but I have owned a 97 Supra TT (PT67, Vipec, etc) for 5 years now and have built it pretty much by myself with the help of a few friends. I would love to bring her to the track, but she is too expensive in case something breaks. I also have an 04 G35 Coupe w/ Brembo package that I daily and bring to the track.
After my first track session, I realized that while the G was good at the track (definitely better than the driver), my true goal is to RR a Supra in the future and to get a faster G would cost at $10K (forced induction)... and this is where the SC came into fruition. It's basically a Supra dressed up in Lexus attire for cheap (comparably) and parts are interchangeable. Plus she's sexxxyyy.
Anyways, I picked up the car from the classifieds here, and while the miles are low, the body is in pretty poor shape. Needs a lot of cosmetic work (paint is awful, needs serious detailing), but I got her for a good price and the mods are a good baseline for my future goals.
Will post pics, mod list, etc soon.

It went pretty well. I enjoyed the track, but it was most certainly built for high hp cars as the tricky triangle is for top speed. The good thing is that I got my sign off to move on to HPDE 2.. WOOT WOOT,
