Great video showcasing V8 sound and experience.

It is funny seeing the backlash on AMG Forums against the new C63 AMG. People were chasing numbers so Mercedes made a C63 AMG with 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds using a 4-cylinder engine (though, it weighs nearly 5000 lbs) and suddenly all of the AMG fans are crying "C63 was never about the numbers or the horsepower. It was always about the V8 roar and the fun of driving and being a hooligan" etc.

 

When the world gets used to the electronic whine of an EV and sub 4 second 0-60s....V8s will still break necks at start up...then guys like us will think about the "good old days".

Lotus got it right...it's not the stats....it's the ride.

 

People should watch this guy's video (owner of Mclaren 720s). He hits the nail right on the head. Frankly, I was shocked as what he describes, is why I got the RCF back in 2017 since I could already see the end of high-revving V8s. I really like my IS350 engine as well. It is quite an enjoyable engine.
