I've been lurking a few years now, wouldn't say it's "common". More like at least one other person has had a similar issue.


I'm at 80k now and have has trans fluid changed twice now. Also take it to the track, but also don't buy into the lifetime idea. "Lifetime" fluid is just to get the car passed warranty and to reduce the expected cost of maintenance calculations on review websites. Only fluid I haven't changed yet is coolant and I'm thinking if doing that soon just based on age.
