I'm new on here. I have a 2016 RC F with the performance package and am looking to see if any one is has gone through or is experiencing a like situation. I have owned my car for two years. I bought it used (certified pre-owned) with 24k miles on it. Upon purchasing the car I had ceramic pro 9H Light coating done to protect the paint, roof, and wing. I have had zero issues with the car until last Saturday when I was washing the car and noticed these spots on my roof. The my local dealership is telling me tough luck, because this is carbon fiber you should keep the car out of the sun and when possible keep the car in the garage. The car is my daily driver so this is not realistic. Here are a few pictures of the issue on the roof. Thanks in advance for the help!
This person is a member on this board. He made a video on it. Lexus fixes it under warranty for a few cases I have seen. I keep my RCF garaged so no issues with my carbon fiber. Had mine for 4 years now.
It is real carbon fiber. The fake Vinyl carbon-look is on the non-upgraded ones.
I side with ROLLA on this one.....ask about replacement parts for the glovebox trim and door control surrounds LOL, upwards of a couple grand for just 3 pieces if I recall from my warranty work
Since when are these trim parts real carbon? Never seen one, only the fake vinyl from factory.
OK you are derailing this thread, My spec sheet says, they are real carbon fiber parts in the interior as part of the 'carbon fiber/TVD package' as a $6000 option. You can go argue with Lexus and report back once you get them to admit.

Ok lets see them, put some close up pics here. Possible that the trim is different with that package what you have. Iv seen only normal/standard trims in person.

Go tell Lexus they are lying on their spec sheets and stop derailing this thread. The guy in the video above has the same carbon fiber trim. He has the same carbon fiber/TVD package as I do.

On the video this boy has vinyl fake trim 6k well spent.
Yeah, Lexus is committing fraud by falsely advertising their optional carbon fiber package interior parts as 'carbon fiber' while putting in fake parts because an internet troll think who has nothing better to do with his time.
did it say real carbon fiber anywhere? Many years ago I used to make a living making carbon fiber parts for race cars, so yeah
Same fake trims are on GSF too by the way.

It says 'Carbon fiber'. You have zero proof other than your trolling.
