To cut weight they probably stripped all carpeting and insulating material, am sure the back seats are gone too. Any debris hitting the undercarriage is amplified into the cabin.

Cool video! Not sure how many times he had ran the course before making his timed run. But I felt he could have been smoother with his gear selection & throttle input in a few places. Just my .02.
