No cars or products are worth sticker price.

I would spend the next couple of years searching, haggling and visiting dealers in search of the best deal! Nothing is more fun than endlessly haggling with dealerships. Make a life style out of it. Then you can come back here impress everyone with how little you paid!

I'm joking of course.

I look at it this way. I hate buying cars. If I find a car I want, I am willing to spend a bit more just to get it over with quickly. No pride here. My time is worth more than being aggravated by car buying. Time is money.

Either way I hope you find a good deal on one!

There is an entire sub culture of guys who pay sticker or better for new rare Porsches and flip them for sometimes hundreds of thousands more than they paid.

they either are super rich and money does not matter or just plain stupid. No cars are worth as much as they are price to be.

Yes, they are wealthy. A car is worth what someone will pay.

Although the price is on the high side, in AZ you save about $5000 in sales tax by buying from an individual rather than a dealer.

I was checking prices in Northern California and used RCF's seemed to be priced higher than in spring when I was looking.

Yeah, even credit karma has indicated the value went back up a little after that huge drop all at once back in the spring.

But don't you STILL have to pay the "sales tax" when you get the car back to your own state to register it, like in Cali? Unless you are in one of those states without sales" tax, like MT?

^^^In Cal, Yes. In Az, No. BUT, you can have the seller give you a phony Bill OF Sale with a lower price on it. Not that I would ever do such a thing

In Arizona, sales tax (roughly 8.6%, depending on the AZ county where the car is registered) is collected only on cars purchased from dealers. If an Arizona resident purchases a car from an individual. no sales tax is due. According to the Arizona Department of Revenue:
"Casual sales between private parties are not taxable. When you register your vehicle at MVD, bring a copy of the bill of sale or any documentation that shows you purchased the vehicle from a private party."
I believe the OP is an AZ resident, so no sales tax would be due if he purchases the privately owned RC-F that was posted. If the car is registered in another state, that is a different issue.
