Blue smoke during startup..🤔
2015 bought brand new with 5500 current miles. Blue smoke during cold startup then normal white vapor afterwards. Is this normal? I’ve just noticed it today. I did the 5k oil change myself with Mobil 1 synthetic..

Something like blue smoke is usually oil down the valve guides from sitting for an extended period. If it continues to do this routinely, I would suspect and exhaust valve seal failure. It's unlikely especially at this low mileage, but possible.

Ive been keeping an eye on it. That was the first time I’ve noticed it. It’s been doing good now as far as normal startup. Must’ve been a hiccup of some sort. No loss of oil on the dipstick. But it’s only been 600 miles since 5K oil change (5600 miles currently). Keeping an eye on it though.
