I feel like that's more than a fair offer. The car might sit for a few weeks or who knows a few months till they get to sell it to me.

Thanks!

I think they look good with the car color.... I turned in a liquid platinum model, but Lexus stopped offering that color for 2018, so I got the nebula grey. Its growing on me.

It took less than an hour to do mine. you can wait for the car if you schedule it with the right dealer.

For those in SoCal, where are you taking your RCF/ GSF to get the recall issue repaired? Anyone try Lexus of Newport or Longo Lexus and if so who would you recommend there for Service? Some service dealerships here haven’t seen many RCF/GSF so i am a little hesitant to go to those. Thanks in advance.

To do yours? There are no new parts available to the public yet from what I see in TIS and notifications will not be sent until April. Are you saying you have the new part, or yours failed and they replaced it with another unit that will have to be replaced in the future?

I've had the best luck with Longo, although they're not always perfect (they've overfilled the crank twice now, but I've had that same issue with various other dealers) they generally try to do well and make good on issues within reason. Doubt anyone sees to many RC/GSFs, but their size gives them a better chance. Of course their size also means more techs, so ratio of experience with F cars might be worse.

Newport is probably another good choice, but can't speak from personal experience.

I never took my RC F to Newport Lexus but I serviced all my preivous cars (IS, GS, LS) from Newport. So far so good. I am gonna take my wife's new RX to newport too. I just called the service guy about recall and he will get back to me as soon as they get the parts. I'll try Newport when I take it in for recall or maintenance on F and let you guys know how it goes on F.

‘I believe you must have had the software update and not the fuel pump replacement....I’d read the TSB again if I were you. Two completely different things

Has anyone inquired as to when the fix might be available for our cars?

Finally was able to get this recall done; however, I now smell fuel vapor coming from the engine compartment, more specifically from area around the driver's side HPFP. It's been a few days since the recall so I don't think it's residual fuel that may have puddled during the repair. Nor can I see a fuel leak or can any evidence of a leak.

Anyone else experience this after the recall was accomplished?

I plan on bringing my car back to the dealer, but I'm living in Germany and the closest dealer is a couple hours away.
