Uggghhh....curse the M4 ;-) What a performer that thing is. There is no getting around the fact that in kills the RCF in speed testing, in every you tube video I have seen. No matter..
I buy my cars and the RCF is the one to keep long term.. Would love to understand what the driver thinks of it.

I bought my RCF to keep for a very long time. I have driven the M4. The torque surge in the midrange is nice, but the V8 high-strung sound in the RCF is unbeatable. The M4 sound is artificial and very disappointing. The exterior and interior are also a big factor.

Too bad the RC F didn't have a lap timer like the others, would have been nice to compare the speeds in the turns and straights.

It is there in the bottom right corner. The lap timer is on the left hand side.

The last VMAX speed difference is actually due to the fact that he lost a lot of speed in the last corner with RCF. You can see, once he gets on the straight with the RCF, he is doing 118 km/h while in the M4 he is able to maintain the speed much better and comes out of the corner doing 130 km/h as he gets on the straight. So, there was already a difference of 12 km/h by the time the two cars got on the last straight. From there, RCF went to 234 km/h whole the M4 got to 244 km/h. In reality, the acceleration was dead even on the last straight.

Sorry, meant to say speedometer. Looking at the vids, they both seem to enter turn 1 at 72kph, would have been nice to see what the RC F enter the turn with and compare throughout the lap.

Lap times are primarily a factor of tires and suspension tuning. The M4 is simply factory tuned for the track, whereas the RCF is not. Clearly Lexus was aiming for a more GT experience, and ride comfort was more of a priority. If you are worried about lap times, then that probably means you take your car to the track... and if you take your car to the track, there is an easy way to transform the handling of your RCF... simply upgrade the suspension. Aside from using better shocks and converting the rear to true coilover design, we basically double the spring rate, which is critical to controlling weight transfer, and getting a relatively heavy car like the RCF to handle well.

What parts are required for track setup, and how much does the whole setup cost? Also any benefits of saving weight in setting up the suspension?

man that M4... right now I'm shopping between slightly used M4 or RC-F. If I'm buying M4, Imma sell it right after warranty expires but if I'm getting RC F, I'm keeping it for 7+ years. I like M4 but RC F has that unique look plus that v8 sound. Tested drove both and M4 can really takes some corners. I can tell M4 is lighter car so feels different in corners but I think I'm still going for RC F. it's gonna be my daily so I'm not gonna take sharp corners every day in so cal traffic~ currently have 13 GS 350 but every time I see RC 350 or RC F, I always turn my head and stares it foe while. been doing this foe 2 years and it's finally time to move on to RC F
