Default Video - Anyone? Metallic ringing noise on sharp bumps and door slam

I noticed this metallic ringing rattle-like sound when hitting sharp bumps or when slamming the door. You need to have a good sound system and volume up to hear the sound.
It's consistent on both sides of the car.

Anyone have this or any idea what it is? It sounds like it's within the door. Just wondering before I make the trip to the dealer. Thanks!

Sounds like the door locking notice the window move when you slam the door.

IMHO, the key word here is slam. Nobody slams the door on my F. If they do, they have me to contend with. I had to replace the passenger window regulator on my last car, a G35 because my wife kept slaming the door on her side. After that lesson was learned, no more door slamming.

The OP definitely has something loose inside the door. Yes, take it in.

The OP isn't really slamming his door though, at least of the bone-jarring way that I usually think of someone slamming a door on a Toyota product. I know exactly what you're talking about, though- I have to "train" infrequent passengers to not do it, a lot of people don't understand that the doors are fitted properly and don't weigh 9000 pounds and will latch properly with barely more force than gently flicking the door closed. Same thing goes for the trunk, too... most toyota trunks you can just press it closed without much force.

I am curious to what the dealer says caused it, hopefully the OP gets feedback from them on that rather than just a generic "oh we fixed the problem". Might make it easier for others down the road if this is an issue.
