Very nice. that color should've been offered by Lexus. I fell in love with a BMW E36 M3 in Daytona Violet, but never got around to owning one. I'm liking your choice better

It looks bad-a$$ but if it's me I wonder how it's gonna look in a couple/few years and how much did I pay for that couple/few years off bad-assness, if you will. Would it be money better spend towards a paint job it that is the color you want? Or maybe it's not a lot of cash to re-do it every now and then? Not raining on your parade just my tendency towards the long term.

a wrap is 1/4 the cost of a proper paint job in a custom color plus it is 100% removable when it time to trade/sell, re-coloring a vehicle actually hurts the resell/trade value in most cases, just like other personal preference modifications do. Unless it is a standard color offered by the manufacturer for that model, or unless you never plan on selling it, a re-color paint job is by far a larger waster of money.

I've been down both streets, repainting a car a different custom color and couldn't sell it private party and took a hit on the trade, customizations are very "eye of the beholder". Also wrapped a car in matte black and same issue, selling it was very hard 3 months on auto trader and no serious bites, pulled the wrap off and back to the OEM color and the car sold within 2 weeks.

Fysisist, I see your point but a good wrap can be had for $2k now, and should be looked at as mod that will last 2-5 years depending on how you take care of the car. Also, it doubles as a clear bra in some ways as it protects your paint, and all said and done its not much more expensive than a full car protection.

I agree with mjeds, I would never paint a newer car or a car I didn't plan to keep for a very long time. Just wrap it, enjoy it for a few years, and when you are ready to sell your paint should be in great condition!
