Shark Fin Antenna Removal & Side Vent Emblem Removal
Alrighty homies got a tidbit of info coming at ya!
Courtesy of the brothers at AutoNcustom in Duluth, GA.
But first a pic of the new look:
Anddddd let's get started.
Shark Fin Antenna Removal:
Step 1:
Pull down on the corners indicated by the arrows.
You can pull down with a decent amount of pressure.
Then move your hands over to the circled area and you'll notice a thing set of metal hinges that you can press down to release the entire rear dome light (as seen in the below picture).
Step 2:
You're going to have to pull down the felt pretty far to see the wiring for the antenna.
It'll be the rear-facing direction.
Step 4:
Push in the brown hinge circled and the whole clip should come off pretty easily.
Pull the wire out like below so you don't have to struggle later.
You should now be able to clearly see the screw.
Step 5:
10mm Wrench to unscrew.
Convenient to have someone outside to hold the antenna after you've loosened it up and are almost ready to remove.
No tape or glue or anything on the exterior antenna so that's it.
Then Ta-Da this is what it looks like.
Side Vent Emblem.
This one is a simple one.
Heat gun to loosen up the tape and then wire or floss to wrap around the pins (circled) to loosen further.
Then it should pop off.
Hope this helps some of you!
