Locating 2016's
Hey everyone,
I'm in the market for an RC-F. I would prefer a leftover 2016 so I can get decent deal, however almost all of them I can find on autotrader are Obsidian. I've heard Obsidian shows swirl marks and paint imperfections very easily. Any feedback from those of you who own Obsidian RC-Fs? I would like a grey with red interior, but have only found one in the country so far. I live in Pensacola, FL, so I'm going to have to travel to buy no matter what. ZERO inventory within at least 100 miles of here. What's the best method of locating 2016 models besides autotrader? Can Lexus dealers look in a database to find any Nebula Grey 2016s still around the country? I imagine there are some that aren't listed on autotrader? Thanks for the help! |

Yup, black is always more maintenance. Black shows everything. Proper care is important. Although, I did notice that maintenance has gotten much easier since I applied some CQuartz to the car. I can spray it off with a pressure washer and just drive to dry it and it will look great. Whereas before I would get water spots if I did that. Now if I drive through a good rain storm it'll be clean and good to go for a few more days. :)
I've always been a fan of silver for the easy maintenance. Silver pretty much always looks the same, unless it's really dirty. It also hides scratches and rock chips well. I imagine grey will be similar. But when black is clean, there's no substitute (this is at 30k miles, and also after driving 700 miles to North Carolina without being washed): https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...e33c23da01.jpg If you are worried about owning black, you are probably wise to avoid it. Rock chips happen very easily. I would recommend getting a clear bra before driving it if you buy black. Since mine is a daily driver, it gets peppered. I'll just get the front end repainted when it gets bad enough to bother me. |

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...4960/overview/ http://www.lexusofwatertown.com/Vehi...C%20F&offset=0 OP wanted ML package + red interior + NBG exterior but no TVD b/c he wanted moonroof. 2015 vs 2016 is negligible differences if you don't mind that it's been sitting in a garage/lot. Great find dude. |
Go to cars. Com
set the price for 65 , set the miles for " all" choose " new " and you'll find a brand new 2015 rcf gray with red interior :). It's listed for 60k check it out |
