What's new for 2018 RCF?
Lets get a conversation started speculating new options and improvements coming to the 2018 RCF!
Personally, I'd like to see some more torque, 200-400 pounds less weight and or supercharged or turbocharged but not a must as long as torque breaks the 400 pound feet mark! Keep the v8, keep the brakes, some new color options, update Lexus enform unit, bigger higher resolution screen and new navigation software including apple car play some exterior and interior updates would be nice! What about you guys? |
The car has only been out two years with slow sales so I doubt they will invest anymore money into this vehicle as a result.
|
Let's just hope its not discontinued lol.
its safe to predict some basic interior improvements which follow IS refresh like larger NAV. They may put the 10 speed auto in it from the LC. |

I hope that they keep the NA. Is 2018 the facelift year?

The new LS is going twin turbo V8 producing 611hp, would be nice to get in on some of that.

Normally they wait around 5 years to do a facelift
Lexus Typically does "facelifts" on the 4th year of production. IE 2014 2015 2016 IS line all the same except for minor tweaks The 2017 IS line has the face lift and bigger nav. Already for 2017 RCF AVS Suspension Add Caviar color Standard wheel change design. What i definitely foresee in 2018 Safety System + Larger nav screen like IS Possibility of V6 turbo. Which i hope not. but do hope, if its tune capable or turbo upgrade possible. |

What about you guys? 2-400 lbs lighter? keep dreaming. if that could of been done easily, I'm sure they would of done it the first time around. I wish the side mirrors would fold in electronically with a button like other cars I've had. even a hyundai optima has an option for it. |

This video's comments mentions that the 2017 will have a Twin-Turbo V8 option:
No reason to think it is more than an unsubstantiated rumor however. - Dr. Edward Cheung |

I have some updates for 2018 RCF!
Been researching the RCF for the past few weeks, here is what I have compiled. "For 2018, the RC F offers the Lexus Safety System+ as standard equipment. Also available for the 2018 model year are Dynamic Voice Recognition, Enform Wifi, App Suite 2.0, and a larger navigation screen (10.3”). In addition, Atomic Silver and Flare Yellow are offered as two new exteriors colors. (Flare yellow WTF!?)
The luxury coupe features Scout® GPS Link with a three-year trial. With the app on the driver’s paired phone, navigation maps and turn-by-turn directions appear on the vehicle’s central display screen. In addition, the 2018 RC F offers Enform Safety Connect that provides emergency calling capability to Lexus Enform response centers, available 24/7/365. And with Enform Services Connect, the RC F can convey its maintenance needs. Using the MyLexusand Beyond mobile app (for iOS devices) or the LexusDrivers.com website, customers can setup push reminders and alerts for maintenance and service issues." http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/...uxury+perf.htm "There are also rumors Lexus might be in the early stages of developing a hotter version of the car, one possibly referencing the brand’s Gazoo Racing motorsport department." http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...rc-f-spy-shots In addition, I attached some screenshots of a convo with someone at lexus western area offices regarding the 2018 RCF! Only time will tell what we will be getting for the 2018 Model year but it is beginning to look like some nice upgrades from the very first iteration in 2015. Combing all the little things that have already been added in 2016 and 2017, this 2018 model will be perfect for the MY2015 owner/leasee looking to upgrade and stay loyal to the Lexus F performance brand as it grows into something bigger and stronger! I, for one am excited to be a part of a brand that is up and coming within the performance segment. Anyone smell a Lexus LC-F flagship coming soon? *Autoblog post of 2018 Lexus RCF at Nurburgring (with spy shots): https://www.autoblog.com/2017/09/12/...#slide-7087611 https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...f1577ef67c.png https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...9d1c78aeae.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...6b3ff2b975.png |
