Tuning it up!

Just a few people hanging out

Drove to pa Sunday to get my Ecu tuned. After the headers it's a necessary evilL. Tune took all of 15-20 mins to put in. Instantly, the car just felt smoother. I drove it around the lot prior to our lunch departure. Lunch was close, so not really able to tell what was what. Not until I got on the Pa turnpike. I was pleasantly shocked. While the numbers seem low the TQ gains are wild. The seat of your pants feel is certainly there. 3 gear pulls hard after 33-3500. I tend to drive fast, but he power is so smooth I caught myself in triple digits a lot. The low end Tq is there, on the high end it just goes. Car seems to rev a little easier too. Overall I'm very pleased. Not sure the gain on a non header car, yet I'm very happy with the tune after 300 miles. I'll report more once I get around 500-700 miles

This and the tune is good, definitely a lot more noticeable in the mid range, I will have videos up soon to compare.

No more CEL makes it great and the speed delimiter is a bonus! BTW nice to meet you Josh!

The permanent codes will clear on it's own.

Quick question about this. I bought my car and will consider modding, wife allowing and all - but since I only drive 8000 miles per year the car will be under warranty for quite some time. What are the ramifications of taking the car to the dealer for maintenance after the flash?

Will lexus be able to tell? Will it void warranty in parts? Will the reverse the flash? Etc....etc

We cannot guarantee anything about warranties or what Lexus can see or can't see... but, the RCF is a super reliable car. You are not going to blow your engine unless you do something really dumb completely not related to the tune.

We have been running our supercharged 60k mile IS-F for nearly 10,000 miles with the supercharger, under extreme testing, 6 track days, and 530whp... and do nothing but oil changes.

The F cars are not M cars when it comes to reliability... no worries

Sweet Nice to get a flash done but what are the new numbers, Horse Power and Torque? I want to boost my RCF to 500HP or better.

What are the options to getting this tune done.....ie "over the air", OBDII dongle, hand held programmer upload......or having to drive to PA to the "shop". If only to drive to PA, will there be other options in the near future?

Options right now:

(1) send us your ECU
(2) drive to our shop
