I can see it now, got 1.5 G's when I hit a tree, I win
Lol, I was looking for something like race track curbing as that might make it hit 1.3 peak transient and then I thought the same thing. Might hit a whole lot more than max of 1.5 if accidentally smack a real curb.
So WHAT does someone have to do to hit 1.5 G's & WHAT is the Purpose I mean if you have to stock RCF's, is there something you have to do Special to Achieve it

They had to put an upper limit of something on the display. If it was 1.1 and you went over that, you'd not know by how much. It's like a 200 mph speedometer.

Drop it out of a cargo plane with no parachute. Is there a prize for the highest score?
I doubt you'll get anywhere near that in a parking lot, you'll need more speed to get good lateral grip. Here's my drive to work this morning. Temps were closer to 10C so not grippy at all when I hit 1.3g peak. You can see the peak is just a small nub on the left there, and I'm only sustaining maybe 1.0gs.
Like you said need R compounds to sustain those kinda numbers.
Didn't notice the GT3 part. One of my favorite cars! I wonder if the GT3 gauge is smart enough to filter out peaks as it's just noise in the grand scheme of things. My last car (C63 Black Series) on the factory R compounds would hit 1.6gs in spikes and sustain 1.2-1.3gs around corners in optimal conditions. The GT3 (997 and 991) can definitely out corner that.

It doesn't filter peaks and I use AIM in all my track toys. I used to see sustained 1.7 to 1.8ish in my 997 GT3 Cup in right conditions and maybe sustained 1.3s in my 997.2 GT3 RS (on AIM) in right conditions. Not sure one can wring any more out of either. My old 996 Cup hit 1.6 to 1.7 sustained in right conditions. I see sustained 1.3s in track prepped Elise with full cage, carbon clam and nose, lexan and slicks.
RE: RCF in parking lot
It was a big parking . Going 50ish, short trail brake to get front to grip and rotate. Ended up in a little throttle oversteer drift each time after abrupt turn in. Saw transient peak 1.3 back to back. A little chilly out, but I was definitely getting all the tires had to offer.
Unplugged battery and lost my old records. Here is what im at so far. Braking with the upgraded rotors and track pads stop hard. Ill get my lateral G's up this weekend ;P
