Sid's RC-F
Forgive me for digging up an ancient thread. First, Sid, congrats on your RC F!
It's shockingly easy to hide from a satellite... Stick the car in a metal shipping container, or in an underground parking garage. This is exactly what high-end car thieves do.
LoJack the just about the only way to recover such vehicles (if ever), and they have documented proof (in the media) of such recoveries by local law enforcement.
The shipping container will make it impossible for the high frequency cell signal (for the car to call for help) or the ultra high frequency satellite tracking signal to penetrate.
That said, if I can help it, I get both LoJack and GPS tracking in my cars. I like the recoverability of LoJack coupled with the realtime tracking of the various GPS services (such as Mercedes-Benz's mbrace2). For cars that don't come from the factory with GPS tracking, I've been told by a couple friends that they've had good success with http://www.streeteagle-gps.com.
In the end, don't feel bad for getting LoJack plus Lexus Enform! Better safe than sorry.
