i don't think the wheel gap is that huge... i could be wrong but the car seems to be parking in a somewhat uphill position, so that could have made the gap look bigger that it actually does.
Although, i really do hope the gap is exactly like the show room model!

^^ History has proven that the pre-production "Show Model" (or Launch Model) is way Lower and never matches the production model that hits the streets..
I know RS-R will have their hands on one soon for those that want an aftermarket suspension. As stated Lexus "wheel gap" is never tight....never been an issue for me lol
