Lane Departure Warning
Recently took car to dealer for 15k service. Prior to service, I could shut off all forms of lane departure warnings (vibrating steering wheel, chime).
After the service, I noted that my steering wheel was vibrating when changing lanes. I assumed that the tech inadvertently turned it on when looking for the maintenance reset function. When I went to turn it off, I could only choose between vibration or chime. Is this some new software update, or can someone explain what I am not doing correctly to turn off all warnings? And yes, I know I won't get any warning if I use my blinker, but when I am the only one on the highway during my morning work commute, there is nobody to warn that I am changing lanes. |
No idea if the dealership did anything, but you can check for service bulletins on the NHTSA website (https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls#vehicle). Search for your year, plus "Lexus RC". Then click the link for manufacturer communications.
