Default Wheel help quick! Vossen VFS10

Hello all,

Wife just okayed (lol) a set of rims. I’m looking at the Vossen VFS10 in 20x9 ET38 front and 20x10 ET48 rear. Do you think that will fit good for the 2014 RX 350 AWD? Thanks. Hope to get some feedback ASAP.

I may be wrong, but you can't run staggered wheels on the AWD. or at least it is not recommended. that is why Lexus doesn't sell the AWD with staggered wheels from the factory.

I thought the same, but been reading that as long as the running diameter is the is what matters and not width.

diameter is one factor but I believe weight is also a big factor. mismatched size/weight tires puts unnecessary stress on the transmission. if the vehicle still has warranty on it, I wouldn't recommend it. I know our local Lexus dealer would not cover a friend of ours RC AWD when he put staggered wheels on his and his transmission starting giving him issues. not saying it will happen to you, but it is possible.

Ok good to know. I ordered the wheels and tires. I hope I don’t have any issues down the road.

As long as you match the overall diameter(tire height) withing a few percent, you will be ok

Nice! You hopped on that super Black Friday deal, huh? I did, too. Still waiting for mine though...

Yes I did. I actually ordered tires for my 18” BBS LM I had on my old 1994 SC400 (mother-in-law/father-in-law drives it now) then came across the deal on Vossen’s website. Ordered a set and changed my tires order to 20”. Glad I found the deal.

I’m running 235/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear

I'm running a staggered setup on my AWD RC,

I bought aftermarket wheels when i had like 15k miles. Closing in on 50k and still running staggers.

My setup was 265/35/19 and 235/40/19 initially.

I'm now running 275/35/19 and 245/40/19 up front.

have not had any issues so far and hopefully none in the future, (knock on wood)
